How much longer do I have to watch Christiane Amanpour when I want world news?

I am an avid viewer of International news programs and I used to tune in to CNN International.

As the host of CNN International's world news program, Christiane Amanpour is just DEPLORABLE to watch and listen to, and she has absolutely NO style whatsoever. Why doesn't CNN International hire someone who is ARTICULATE like Phil Donahue to host its News Show? Or maybe even Charles Gibson?
Phil Donahue not only has many years of experience, but he is more insightful in his interviews, Phil has a lot of charisma and is so much more articulate than Amanpour.
CNN International needs to provide its audience with a host who asks the questions that the viewers want an answer to. Amanpour is so dry and boring in her delivery, it is disgusting to watch.

Okay. I hardly ever disagree to this extent with anyone whose questions I answer. But first of all, I must ask: Is this the Phil Donahue who has been married to Marlo Thomas for more than 25 years now? Is he on cable somehow and I've not seen him. He's been gone from regular TV for so many decades now that I thought he had died and I didn't hear about it!!!!



I actually don't even remember how he spoke or how articulate he was. And Charles Gibson? Haven't seen him for quite a few years now. But don't mind me, I don't watch TV now for more than 7 months!!!



Concerning Christiane Amanpour (which you appear to loathe): I know that she's probably not "audio candy" to most Americans and non-British in general. Or maybe it's just the opposite?!!!



I live in the U.S. and when I had TV and cable I loved watching her reports because, though not beautiful, not glamorous, not without-a-hair-out-of-place type newscaster, she is indeed a great reporter. But you know what she is that those others (and most others) are not? A TRUE JOURNALIST, the one who gets into the action, under the bombs, in with the Taliban, into the face of any leader/dictator who dares give her an interview.



That's what I see in her. Sorry!

Obviously you dislike Amanpour a lot . Pity , I find her a very professional reporter who knows what she is talking about .

If you despise Christine Amanpour and her delivery, change to another channel. If the ratings drop low enough, she will be replaced.
