Conspiracy theories surround this part of history.

Most people believe it was Lee Harvey Oswald, but there are many who believe it goes much further back.

One (of many) theories locates the mafia as a central force in this story. Apparently the Chicago mob, headed by Sam Giancana, secured thousands of fraudulent Illinois votes during the 1960 election. But once elected, Kennedy built his presidency on a committment to eradicate organized crime and supposedly turned his back on those who had helped him.

But again, that's just ONE theory. Visit the link below for a more complete listing.

"On Nov. 22, 1963, President Kennedy was shot and killed while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Tex. ...successor Lyndon Johnson to investigate the murder, eventually concluded that it was the work of a single assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. "

most people think it was Lee Harvey Oswald who was killed before trial by Jack Ruby so we will never know for sure.
