Many White Americans always complain that African American leadership (Jesse Jackson, Al Shapton), are stirring up problems in American. How would you (a White American Person) bring better race relations in the America?
I have been in many conversations with my white friends or coworkers who have an opinion on race relations. They complain that African American leadership is trying to divide America and not bring African Americans into main stream society. I would ask this important question. What are you doing to bring race relations together in American? If you are not part of any organizations, any group or taking part in bring better race relations, then that person has nothing to say about it.
In other words, these individuals are nothing but an arm-chair coach. You can complain that a basketball/football coach is not doing his job. Yet if you switch places with that coach for a day or a month, then you would have a different perspective and would not be easily to criticize that coach.
Therefore, if you are actively in a some church, civil, education or any organization to bring better race relations, then you can critize the current African American leadership. I am not trying to start a riot or anything, but I seeking knowledge and understanding. My goal is to bring the better race relations to all Americans. I want to find a way to present or open the minds people without starting into a fight. That old saying goes “never talk about race, religion, or politics” Yet, if we do not talk about it, then how can any healing be done. In a nutshell, I want to open the minds of white America to the pains of racism and hatred. From past experience, those with closed minds will never open their minds to any thing new. For example, many people will not understand or feel another person’s pain until they get sick. NO PAIN, NO GAIN. .
I would like to present this question to white Americans. What would you do to bring better race relations in America?

Do away with race specific organizations. I'm talking about organizations such as, The ***** College Fund, Miss Black America, Jet, BET, and so on. These things galvanize many white people who are quite frankly so caught up in their own lives that they do not have time to worry about "race relations", but when it comes up, those are the things that strike them as odd for a people supposedly trying to be equal. Also please stop the talk of reparations. You were not a slave, and I never owned one.

I consider that plenty of white folks don't realize black folks. By the best way I am white. I was once raised within the south, Georgia, and feature lived right here essentially my entire existence. I was once raised via my grandmother who, while I was once more youthful was once very raceist. She attempted to instill that dislike into me. Telling me I could not have black peers, I could not play sporting events given that there could be to many blacks at the crew, and many others, and many others. (of direction she used an additional phrase different then black). Down right here, the colleges are beautiful similarly divided so far as race is going. In core university I grew to be peers with a white lady who dated black men. So I started putting round black folks extra. And I started to peer that plenty of the matters my grandmother advised me wherein now not precise. I'll placed it this fashion, my moms father sexually abused her and her brothers and sisters, my brother, me and my sister. My brother additionally abused me. I do not maintain that towards all white guys. So simply given that there are a couple of black folks that are compatible the sterotype (weapons, medicinal drugs, welfare, and many others) now not all black folks fall in that catagory. From what I ahve visible, there are simply as many white boys performing like that as black. It bothers me while I see white or black or some other race being discriminated towards. I feel it comes down not to knowledge others and be fearful of what we do not realize. While every person are same and we're all human, there's a differance within the black in white tradition. At the church I pass to, I am the one white man or woman. Other white folks have visited, however they hardly ever (if ever) consult with a moment time. Why? Because even in the best way we worship and serve God can also be catogorized black or white. Unitl approximately four years in the past, while I first attended a black church, I had under no circumstances heard of the Holy Spirit being in us or talking in tongues or approximately 'shouting' in church. I'm sorry that is goodbye however that is some thing close and costly to my middle. What is one answer? Better knowledge of every tradition. What is the reply? Is there an reply? I feel we will be able to ahve this challenge till Jesus comes again. 'There is niether Greek nor Jew, loose nor slave, for we're all one within the Spirit.'

I have heard of such events where certain black leaders seem to spawn racial controversy where it hadnt existed before. We all need tolerance and we all need to be heard. I think a vast majority of Americans, both white and black, want to co-exist peacefully, and respect eachother's views. When some people were bringing up race in Hurricane Katrina and why people werent being helped, I think that was a little uncalled for. It was used as an excuse for help that came too late.

(Bad) racism is perpetrated by groups that think they are superior (have a superiority complex) and this is a major sign of illiteracy, lack of exposure, low IQs,etc. These groups need to be educated in order to dilute their extremism. There is nothing much that can be done about their IQs.....

(Good) racism is brought about by groups seeking to regain their redemption, respect and undo other wrongs perpetrated against them. Because they are aware of `where they are coming from`, they are a reactive lot that require understanding,opportunities,....yes, positive action on merit.

re-educate everyone to broaden their minds for them to accept the reality that all human beings in this planet were created equal.
