Does the mail run today? Sat July 5th?

Just wanted to know before I looked like a goofy goober walking the the mail box!

Don't feel bad.. I have already looked like a goofy goober because I have gone to the mailbox 3 times already before coming online to see if the mail is running today. It is 4:15 p.m. already. They are running 4 hours late. I know they have extra mail because of the holiday, but geez.... I am still thinking they forgot me. sniff sniff.

It should but I saw on the web that some post offices closed early on the 3rd (don't know why) and some would be close today or closing early (still don't know why). Everything would be back to normal Monday the article stated. I don't remember them doing this before. I would suggest you call your post office and ask. Ours usually comes early before the holidays.

No mail thanks to the 4th of July Holiday Because It fell on a Sunday they couldn't observe it so they used the Monday after to do it, For the sake of America.
