I just watched Escape from Alcatraz and they never said what ever happened to Charles Butts. I know that he chickened out and didnt escape in time, but then he changed his mind. But by then, it was too late and he couldnt hoist himself up so he had to go back to his cell. but when he was first leaving, he kicked his fake shaft and it shattered to pieces so he couldnt put it back right in disguise. wouldnt that tip off the guards?? so shouldnt he be caught?? i know that in the morning, he and the guard had like a stare down, and then the guard found frank morris's fake head. but did charles butts ever get caught?? do you know anything about him that happened after he tried to escape??
btw, was it even charles butts?? cuz it was charles butts in the movie, but then i read somewhere on the internet that it was someone named allen clayton west that was going to escape with them. but then again, thats what the internet said so...it could be wrong...
