Hahaha funny. I highly doubt there will be a "zombie apocalypse." There's so many things going around for the world ending this weekend. People do it for publicity. No one knows what will happen in the future... don't stress it. The world was supposed to end last week, last year, yesterday, there's always false predictions going around.

Okay look. Everyone is claiming 'Oh Zombie Apocalypse oh no! Whatever shall we do?'

The fact of the matter is this. This dude that issued the 'Apocalypse' date, he predicted the same thing back in 1994, maybe not with zombies, but it was something similar. Now I don't know about you, but it's 2011, 17 years past his last assumption. I'm still alive and kicking and odds are if you're reading this you are too, unless you're a pretty smart zombie, then I give you props, you must've chowed down on quite a bit of cranium lately. Good for you.

The reason CDC made the announcement is because it was a way to get a message out there. What better way to help people know how to prepare for a natural disaster than attacking the concept while another concept, one almost everyone knows and fears if they are a gamer (regardless of platform), and teach it that way. CDC is trying to get people to learn how to prepare for natural disasters. Because the same things that you would do to prep for a zombie invasion would be the same that you would do for an earthquake or hurricane or blizzard even.

Extra food - No duh. You gotta eat at some point and time and eating your fellow survivors isn't smart.

Extra water - Because no one likes to drink their own urine

Toiletries - (Toilet paper and what not) Because if you don't have this, odds are you'll wipe with something that you shouldn't. Like poison ivy. So take your pick. Carry a few extra rolls of Charmin, or have an itchy bottom. Not too hard.

So really, it's not a big thing to worry about, CDC is just going with the publicity hype to get people to realize 'Hey. I need this stuff in case of emergencies'. Other than that, will the zombie come devour our brains? Possibly. The best cure? Grab the shotgun off the shelf and start shooting. But really, there is almost no reason to worry about this. It is something foolish to tap into common people's fear and make them freak out.

No. The same guy that brought the May 21th thing up is the same idiot that said the world was going to end in 1994. He told everyone to go to a certain lake, and that a boat would come get them. Thousands of people sat there and waited. Nothing happened. I am not saying there will never be one, Because I know there will be an apocolypse. The CDC did issue a warning today or yesterday. But, Camping also said that the reason for all this is the gays and lesbians. That tell you anything about his theory?

Nope, No, Camping’s calculation of May 21, 2011, falls apart with even the most basic biblical scrutiny. Now, is it possible that Jesus is coming back on May 21, 2011? Yes, but it is just as possible that He will come back on any other date. Does Harold Camping’s particular dating methodology have any biblical validity? No, it does not. Assuming that Jesus does not return on or before May 21, 2011, Camping and others will surely calculate new future dates and will attempt to explain away mistakes by “errors in the formula” or something to that effect.

The key points are (1) the Bible nowhere encourages us to attempt to discover the timing of Jesus’ return, and (2) the Bible gives no explicit data by which the timing of Jesus’ return can be determined. Rather than developing wild and speculative calculations to determine when Jesus is coming back, the Bible encourages us to “keep watch” and “be ready” (Matthew 24:42-44). The fact that the day of Jesus’ return is unknown is what should motivate us to live every day in light of the imminence of Christ’s return.

Zombies? Very doubtful. But, sooner or later, the world will end, however NO ONE knows when. There is nothing anyone can do about it when it happens, and there is no way to predict when that will be either, so no use stressing. The same guy who says tomorrow is judgement day also predicted this would happen in 1994... and he was obviously wrong. No different than y2k either; just a media thing getting people worked up. Another reason to sell "I survived (insert doomsday reference here)" tshirts. Is it a possibility the world will end tomorrow? Yes, but the chances are more likely for me to win the lottery so I wouldn't hold my breath on a zombie invasion. If it makes you feel better, grab a backpack full of food & water and keep a shotgun handy. Remember to shoot them in the head to make sure theyre dead, and dont let one bite you. :) I will be the one laughing my butt off at Harold Camping on Sunday, May 22. He is nothing but a cult leader anymore.

Too much Harold Camping, I see? Don't believe the old nut. Its almost 11 o'clock here, the powers still on, the world the same, and I'm not expecting any zombies. No one knows when the world will end, and this Harold Camping is just doing this for publicity, fame, and money. First, he set up a bunkhouse underground and got everyone into it because he thought the world was ending, and it never did. Then second, he gathered everyone up on top a building for an "Alien Apocalypse" to wait for the UFO's to arrive. He's predicted the end of the world two times, now three, and nothings happened. But now its the "Zombie Apocalypse" .

Since the May 21 theory stated that it would happen at 6 PM local time zone, starting at Christmas Island, and it is now 10:30 PM there, and not one whisper of any earthquake, highly doubtful. But don't be sad. Not like it's the end of the world that it isn't happening.

And can always wait out all the hype before the December 21, 2012 predicted apocalypse.

Sources at the White House have confirmed they are preparing for "Rapture" and a possible zombie attack. All military installations have been put on high alert and as of midnight all bases & posts will be closed and sealed(similar to 9/11 attacks). The president has cancelled all meetings and has relocated to a secure location(possibly Co. Springs). Government officials are being warned to prepare for public mass panic and to notify law enforcement to be vigilant and ready. FBI & ATF have already confirmed record weapon and ammunition sales in the last 24 hours in such states as Texas, Florida and Arizona. As notified by the CDC it is recommended to gather supplies and other provisions immediately(food, water, short wave emergency radio, flashlights and battery's). First signs of approach are thought to be mass evacuations by wildlife followed by an acidic smell in the air. It is still unkown if the President will address the nation or not...

no the CDC posted that for ppl to get awareness on how to be prepared in case of an actual emergency. The cdc reached out to the younger media kids and of course it worked. The CDC had 30k hits in 24 hrs when their normal is about 3k day.

Yes, this could happen at any moment. I mean this type of occurance doesn't come with promos and advertisements. First wave goes quietly

since the living deny it. Then many are caught "off guard' and converted.

The numbers then build upon thenselves until this wave can not be turned back.

The only thing I would contest is the date of this occurance. It does not make sense...zombies need cover.....sunlight until 8pm won't work.

Perhaps November-ish.

There is still time to prepare....and PRAY

no. it was a promotional effort to just increase awareness of disaster preparedness, using a zombie apocalypse as a farfetched example that still suited the purpose...

""It's kind of a tongue-in-cheek campaign," Daigle said Wednesday. "We were talking about hurricane preparedness and someone bemoaned that we kept putting out the same messages."

I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark. All this religion bull is getting annoying

No. Have you read your bible lately? Jesus doesn't know himself when the fall of humanity will take place, and no one can predict it. Say, hadn't the same prediction failed? 'End of the world in 2010!' Didn't that fail?
