Question:
Hurricane Sandy ruined everything for me?

I feel so bad. First, they delayed a bunch of flights because of the hurricane and I wanted to go on vacation on Friday but they will let all of the people that didn't go Monday and Tuesday go Friday. I've been planning this vacation for two years and it costs $8000. Second, my town delayed trick or treating to Saturday and I will be gone then. Next, my cheer leading delayed a Halloween event for Sunday and I'll be gone then too. Fourth, my school delayed the Halloween party to Friday and I won't be here then. I feel terrible and have looking forward to all of this for a long long time. What do I do?

And you want what, sympathy from us?

You're healthy, uninjured and alive. Your family healthy, uninjured and alive. Your friends still healthy, uninjured and alive.

Your house is undamaged. You still have electricity.

That already puts your personal situation better than millions of other people who were way more affected by Sandy than you were.

Learn what's the big stuff in life, what's the small stuff in life, and then don't sweat the small stuff.

"I've been planning this vacation for two years and it costs $8000"

Then you're either going away for a long period of time and a few days isn't going to matter, or you're an idiot who vastly overpaid for this "vacation." And considering you're talking about school and cheerleading, I highly doubt you've ever paid for anything in your life, let alone this $8000 vacation you seem so proud of.

There are millions of other Americans who wish they could afford a $8000 vacation. Heck, they just wish the had $8000. Or even $8 so they could buy some groceries for their family.

So, quite honestly dearie, you sound like a spoiled little b*tch. Go whine somewhere else.

Ok, to the 2 people ripping this girl. She is 10 years old, cut her a break. Younger kids look forward to Halloween and don't realize the impact of the hurricane. They know its bad, but don't understand what people are fully going through. You shouldn't be so hard on younger kids.
