On who committed 9/11:
-Washington Post 11/01/04: Osama bin Laden says he had personally directed the 19 hijackers. In a video, he says: "We had agreed with the Commander-General Muhammad Atta, Allah have mercy on him, that all the operations should be carried out within 20 minutes, before Bush and his administration notice."
-11-28-07 AP Cairo. Bin Laden said: “The events of Manhattan were retaliation against the American-Israeli alliance's aggression against our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and I am the only one responsible for it. The Afghan people and government knew nothing about it. America knows that."
-12/13/01 The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Washington-based Islamic propaganda group, said this regarding the videotape of Osama bin Laden: “For anyone who was not convinced of Osama bin Laden's complicity should remove all doubt. Bin Laden clearly spoke as someone who had foreknowledge of the attacks.”
-Jihadists around the world praised 9/11 as a victory for Allah, committed by martyrs.
On how the WTC fell:
-Anyone who has watched documentaries on large building demolitions on the Internet and the History channel knows that it takes weeks for dozens of workers to noisily weaken (using jack hammers and acetylene torches) the support beams; then they plant the explosives (300 tons required for both towers, according to an ASCE estimate) and interconnect the explosives with miles of wires. But still, the conspiracy types think that 20,000 people who worked in the WTC didn’t notice this activity!
-The American Society of Civil Engineers, ASCE, with a membership or affiliates numbering over 270,000 engineers, endorses the 9/11 Commission Report that the jets brought down the WTC, including #7.
On why Bush went to war:
-10/10/02 Sen. Hillary Clinton (now Secretary of State) on the Senate floor: In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members.
-Hans Blix, Chief UN Weapons Inspector addressing the UN Security Council, 1/27/03: 13,000 chemical bombs were dropped by the Iraqi Air Force between 1983 and 1988, while Iraq has declared that 19,500 bombs were consumed during this period. Thus, there is a discrepancy of 6,500 bombs. The amount of chemical agent in these bombs would be in the order of about 1,000 tons.
-9/29/02 Former VP Al Gore: Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power. We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his countryThe nerve agent VX is one of the most toxic ever developed.
-2/13/03 Presidential candidate John Kerry: If you don’t believe Saddam Hussein is a threat with nuclear weapons, then you shouldn’t vote for me.
-7/22/03 CNN, Former President Clinton said: People can argue whether we should have more troops in Afghanistan or internationalize Iraq or whatever, but it is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons.
The same group claims we went to war for oil, but much oil would a trillion dollars buy? That's what we've spent in Iraq.
The same group claims that we've killed millions of Iraqis. But let's look at some facts:
-01/08, The Iraq Family Health Survey and United Nations World Health Organization estimated 151,000 deaths occurred between March 2003 and June 2006.
Facts to a liberal are akin to the crucifix to a vampire.
